Patrick Dempsey teased a recent project he’s been working on? Is it related to “Grey’s Anatomy” and will McDreamy be returning?

Apparently not. The actor is actually teasing about his next movie post-“Grey’s” —  “Bridget Jones’ Baby.” Dempsey is in London filming for the new sequel.

Dempsey shared on Instagram his photo standing on a cobblestone path in the garden of Pinewood Studios in UK. He also gave a shoutout to his co-stars Renee Zellweger and Colin Firth.

The 49-year-old actor is definitely not teasing his return to “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 12, which debuted last night (Sept 24).

Dempsey’s fans felt devastated when his character, Dr. Derek Shepherd, was tragically killed off in a car crash in “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 11. Shocked fans even lambasted the show and creator Shonda Rhimes on social media.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly after his character’s death, Dempsey, who is also known as “McDreamy” in the show, said his reasons for leaving the ABC medical drama series were simply to try something new and different.

“I want to try something different. But will I be allowed to do something different. Is Derek so identifiable that I can’t go on and be someone else? That will be the challenge. To see if people embrace me as someone else,” he said.

Meanwhile, both Zellweger and Firth will reprise their roles as Bridget Jones and Mark Darcy on the third installment of the franchise. However, Hugh Grant, who played Jones’ other love interest Daniel Cleaver, will not be returning.

Grant told The Independent that he would have felt a little awkward in the romantic role at this point of his career. “I do think that if it was just me and a girl batting our eyelids at each other in a full-out romantic comedy, I would look a little sinister and weird at the age of 54,” Grant said.

The plot of “Bridget Jones’s Baby” remains under wraps, as well as the role Dempsey will be playing. Daily News suggests Dempsey may play Bridget Jones’ love interest.

The movie will be directed by Sharon Maquire, who also directed “Bridget Jones’ Diary.” The first “Bridget Jones” movie earned $281 million and gave Zellweger an Oscar nomination for Best Actress. A sequel, “Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason,” was released three years later.

According to People magazine, “Bridget Jones’s Baby” will start filming in the UK on October 2.
