Google Nexus 7 2016 is the talk of the town after iPhone 7 and Samsung Galaxy S7. Google is apparently planning to launch the Nexus 7 2016 this May at the company’s annual I/O Developers’s conference, which will be held between May 18 and May 20. Most likely the device would be launched in October, says another report.
Rumours suggest that Nexus device would be a tablet and it is alleged that HTC, Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer, would take the helm of the device.
Google Nexus 7 2016 could be a tablet with a premium build and expected to boast revolutionary features optimized for maximum productivity. Reports add that the tablet would be packed with Android N OS, even though the name of dessert is still not known. Rumors have it that Android N would be named Android Nutella, notes Everyday news.
Another cue is that HTC is offering a deal of HTC One M9 for $649 and can get the Nexus 9 tablet for free. With this deal, buyers could save up to US$399. HTC Nexus 9 was launched two years ago with 2GB of RAM and is packed with Nvidia’s Tegra K1 Soc and pure Android OS makes a great gaming tablet.
Last year, no tablets were released. However, HTC Nexus 9 was launched in 2014, while the 7-inch ASUS Nexus tablet was released in 2013.
However, it is uncertain whether, Google would announce the Nexus 7 2016 as a tablet or phablet, but speculations are rife that it would have the 7-inch screen display and will be powered by NVIDIA Tegra X1 processor coupled with 4GB RAM. Needless to say, it packs with software features found in Android devices.
Meanwhile, Christian Times claims that HTC Nexus 7 will be powered by Snapdragon 810 or 820 while rest of specifications would be the same.
However, no official announcement has been made by Google regarding the official release date and features of the rumored Google Nexus 2016.
