Tech enthusiasts cannot get enough of the upcoming Google Nexus 2016 phones. While everyone is anticipating the forthcoming release, someone has leaked the details of its external features.
There was a previous report that the Nexus phones, which carry the codenames Marlin and Sailfish, will come out in a mixture of metal and plastic design. However, the latest leak revealed that the upcoming models might sport a glass design as well.
A Twitter user under the pseudonym Nexus released the image. The photo shows a rear glass design and maybe a fingerprint sensor.
Moreover, the user wrote that the upcoming device will look like a crossbreed of the Nexus 4 and iPhone. As per 9to5 Google, the Google Nexus 2016 phones might also come in electric blue and white or silver.
On the other hand, the website cited Android Police for the size of the flagship phones. Sailfish will be smaller, with only a 5-inch 1920 x 1080 screen. The device would also include 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
Meanwhile, Marlin will be slightly bigger with a 5.5-inch 2560 x 1440 display. Other features could be a 3,450 mAh battery, 12MP rear camera and rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Both devices will sport a USB Type-C port.
As of the latest news, the Google Nexus 2016 smartphones might also contain the newest app—the Nexus Launcher. The app “gets rid of the app drawer, adds a permanent calendar widget and features animated onscreen buttons for the Google Assistant.”
Furthermore, Google might add a “Night Light mode,” a split sharing application and animating buttons. A previous report also revealed that the phones could have four colorful dots design to introduce its new Assistant.
Moreove, it would probably be via the “Now and On Top functions.” The Google Nexus 2016 might be out in October so make sure to catch the latest update here at ANN.
