The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, will be all dolled up for the 73rd annual Golden Globes to be held on Sunday, January 10, 2016.

The event this Sunday will mark the beginning of the award season and many are taking their guesses at who will be taking the Globes home this time around. Yahoo! TV critic Ken Tucker shared his predictions for the Golden Globes with ABC News.

It appears that under the Best TV Series, Comedy category Amazon’s “Transparent” will be receiving a stiff competition from HBO’s “Veep.” It will also be interesting to see close friends Jennifer Lawrence (for “Joy”) and Amy Schumer (for “Trainwreck”) fighting it out for the Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy category. Choose your camps, we know who we will be rooting for!

Tucker is also of the opinion that the Best TV Series, Drama category will come down to “Empire” and “Game of Thrones.” He shared that it would come as no surprise if “Empire” takes the Globe. But, given the show’s very large audience many will be hoping that “Empire” does take home all the goodness.

Tucker also rightly pointed out that “This year suggests that once again there’s a real chasm developing between network shows and what’s on cable and streaming.”

He added, “There are so few network shows. It’s pretty striking. Shows that in years past would have been cult shows, like ‘Outlander’ and ‘Mr. Robot,’ end up getting major nominations. Broadcast shows are getting squeezed out by critical darlings.”

The freshly put up presenters list includes Chris Evans, Kate Bosworth, Tom Hanks, Jonah Hill and Andy Samberg amongst others.

Fans with a television set can watch the arrivals special at 7 p.m. ET on NBC, which will then be followed by the ceremony at 8 p.m. ET. Those who want to watch online can download the Periscope app online, suggests E! Online.

You could also check E! Online for the “Live From the Red Carpet Livestream,” to be hosted by Will Marfuggi and Carissa Loethen, from 5:55 p.m. ET until 8 p.m. ET.
