“Gilmore Girls” is set to return on Netflix with four new episodes later this year. What do these new movie-length episodes have in store for fans? Will they finally reveal who Rory ends up with?
According to Hollywood Life, Rory’s boyfriend in the revival has yet to be revealed. Even Milo Ventimiglia, who plays Jess on the show, admitted he doesn’t know which boy Rory chooses. “You know, I don’t know,” he told Hollywood Life. “I’m not the writers, so who knows how things should have worked out. I think there is the hope and the want [for my character to get back together with her since]…it was always a big unanswered question with Jess and Rory. That’s something we will get into a little bit or maybe not — I don’t know.”
Whoever Rory chooses, though, Ventimiglia assures fans that they will love the “Gilmore Girls” revival. “I think what people can expect is great stories,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “And, you know, just reliving those characters that they loved.” His character will reportedly appear in three of the four upcoming movies. But it remains to be seen if this means Jess and Rory would be reunited. Ventimiglia loved filming the revival, though.
“It was a blast,” he told Hollywood Life. “I think when you get to revisit something that you did so long ago and…sort of the first thing that kind of put me on the map [it’s all great]. And Jess was an iconic character. It’s fun to step back into those shoes and that set and hang out with friends…For me, I was always the biggest fan of Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino, and I would do anything for them,” he explained.
When will the “Gilmore Girls” revival be available for streaming on Netflix? Stay tuned for updates.
