George Clooney and wife, Amal, are once again in the center of divorce rumors and this time Amal’s engagement ring sparked the latest speculations.  Amal has been spotted not wearing her 7-carat engagement ring.

Celeb Dirty Laundry reported that the human rights lawyer might just probably want to go low profile, but also mentioned that some people think it is because there is trouble in her marriage.

Alamuddin chose not to wear her $450,000-worth bling because she thinks it is too flashy, and instead opted to wear a simple platinum band, Mirror reported.

“Amal has told friends she wants a more understated engagement ring specifically for when she’s working on serious cases. People constantly stop her and admire it for a closer look. It is a massive rock and there is no hiding it,” a source told Mirror.

George apparently was not upset his wife chose not to wear the ring and understands why Amal would want a more subtle ring when working with her clients.

“She’s been to visit Cartier and has requested a platinum band. George understands and is completely supportive,” the insider added.

The 57-year-old actor handpicked the huge engagement ring for his proposal to Amal in April. The couple tied the knot five months later, Mirror wrote.

Rumors of divorce have been swirling around the couple for months. There are even speculations that the problem between the pair is due to lots of arguments over their work schedules and commitments. There were also rumors that Amal is having problem getting pregnant because of her alleged weight issues.

Celeb Dirty Laundry also noted the reports that Amal has a problem with Cindy Crawford and that it has brought tension to his friendship with Crawford’s husband Rande Gerber, who is also George’s friend.

However, there were also reports that suggested the Clooney’s marriage is getting stronger. Earlier report indicated that the couple is ready to start a family and is in the process of renovating their £10 million mansion in Berkshire in the UK to accommodate children in the future.
