‘Gears of War 4’ Release Date & Cover Art Revealed; Ultimate Edition Players Get Earlier Access

Gears of War 4

The “ Gears of War 4 ” has finally got an official release date. It has been recently revealed that Gears of War 4 is landing on October 11th. What’s even good? Well, this is the first ever “Gears of War” game made “exclusively” for Xbox One.

According to the Forbes, Microsoft is yet to make an official announcement, but the cross-platform is coming sooner than expected. The source also notes that the game will “exclusively” be made available for Windows 10 platform.

According to Microsoft, “The release date announcement is simply the first of many, and is set to ignite a chain of upcoming revelations about what’s in store for JD Fenix and the next generation of Gears of War heroes.”

As per the official Microsoft press release, “The game marks the beginning of an epic new saga for one of gaming’s most celebrated franchises.”

The statement further states, “As a new band of heroes rises to confront a fearsome new threat. Harkening back to the dark and intense roots of the original classic, fans can expect a familiar, yet distinct evolution of gameplay, including brutal and intimate action, a heart-pounding campaign, genre-defining multiplayer and stunning visuals powered by Unreal Engine 4.”

But, Microsoft seems to take more initiative in treating the Xbox users. The sources state that Players who have “logged in” and played “Gears of War: Ultimate Edition” on Xbox One or PC will be able to “join in on the game’s beta on April 18th.”  The Xbox Live Gold members will be able to “jump in on April 25th.”

Entertainment Weekly also features the new cover art for the upcoming game.

In our last month’s article, we talked about characters being introduced in the game. The game is set to feature a “new slate of characters”, including the son of the previous protagonist, Marcus Fenix.
