‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 Is Worst Season? ‘Makes You Want to Kill Yourself’

Game of Thrones Season 6

The Honest Trailer for “Game of Thrones” has just dropped. Is Game of Thrones Season 6 really the worst so far?

According to Time, Screen Junkies tried to explore why fans love the show “even though it constantly makes you want to kill yourself.” The series has indeed been pretty brutal in the past. Screen Junkies even claimed that Jon Snow’s death should not be so surprising. The Lord Commander, the trailer said, merely died in the “typical ‘Game of Thrones’ way.”

However, the show’s creators, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, seems to relish in this “Game of Thrones” brand of brutality. “Central heroes don’t have any particular claim on immortality. In fact, we could argue that the notion of ‘central heroes’ is one of the fantasy tropes that George’s books have so brilliantly exploded,” Benioff and Weiss told The Hollywood Reporter. The two writers also explained why the fantasy franchise is in a league of its own. “Look, we all love Lord of the Rings, but none of us really believed that Sauron was going to kill Frodo. Was any gambler dumb enough to bet money on Voldemort defeating Harry? In traditional fantasy, when the forces of darkness are arrayed against the armies of light, everyone knows who’s going to win. And that’s one of the elements that bored us about traditional fantasy: the predictability of it.”

Benioff and Weiss also confirmed that Season 7 will be the last for the series. “We are writing the final act now,” they said. “The last thing we want…is stay on stage after the play is over.”
