‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 New Trailer: Secrets About Daenerys, Ramsay Bolton Revealed

For avid fans of “Game of Thrones“, April 2016 cannot come any sooner. However, new footage of the upcoming sixth season of the HBO drama may soothe the fans’ anticipation, at least for a bit.

A report by io9 details that HBO’s year-end feature, dubbed “Look how awesome we were in 2015, we’ll also be awesome in 2016”, have incorporated scenes from “Game of Thrones” season 6. The website is keen on dissecting these scenes and went on breaking it down into GIFs.

From the report, three scenes are revealed which features Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon), and Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey). The three different characters can be seen on different scenarios.

From io9’s GIF breakdown, Daenerys can be seen looking far at the distance with a distraught look on her face. Meanwhile, the scene with Cersei (with her new short hair) involves her hugging her son, Tommen. Finally, the scene involving Ramsay features the character riding in the snow with his bannermen following suit.

Daenerys’ hair being unkempt and her overall smudged look may be a clue regarding her fate in the upcoming season. While season 5 saw her unstoppable rise to power, the sixth season may put the well-loved Khaleesi in a disadvantageous position.

Meanwhile, the scene showing Ramsay almost ready for battle suggests that audiences have not seen the last of him and his evil deeds.

Finally, although Cersei appears to be a bit motherly in hugging Tommen, that hint of determination on her face suggests that she may be out to reclaim her former glory and get her revenge from her enemies.

However, although these new scenes offer some meaty glimpses on the season to come, Vanity Fair suggests that the 2015 clip involving Jon Snow is more telling. According to the website, the scene involving Jon lit by torchlight and Melisandre’s voice in the background may support the favorite fan theory that his character will be resurrected in the sixth season.

Vanity Fair also points out that Melisandre will want to resurrect Jon because he could be the next chosen one she would want to follow. It can be recalled that the previous season features Stannis’ apparent demise.

The upcoming season is sure to be packed with surprises.

“Game of Thrones” Season 6 will air on April 2016 on HBO.
