After months of speculation and fan theories, the fate of Jon Snow (Kit Harington) in “Game of Thrones” Season 6 appears to be confirmed by the show’s latest promotional poster.
Entertainment Weekly reports that social media accounts for “Game of Thrones” just released a teaser art for the upcoming season and the face on it is none other than the supposed-to-be-deceased commander of the Night’s Watch.
The character appears to be haggard and bloody, but it is definitely him.

EW emphasizes that this release is amid the fact the the show’s producers, HBO and Kit Harington himself insisted that the character is truly dead and will not be returning for the sixth season.
If the poster is indeed a confirmation that Jon Snow is alive, The Guardian says that the upcoming season will be wilder than the other seasons.
The Guardian first cites that since the TV show has caught up with the source material, events in season 6 may be spoiling what happens in the sixth book of the series “Winds of Winter”.
An official release date for the book is yet to be confirmed since author George R.R. Martin remains vague about it.
The Guardian also shares that ‘Game of Thrones” has always been known for being firm in terms of character deaths.
“If a character is dead, they stay dead,” The Guardian reports.
Therefore, the website thinks that bringing Jon Snow back to the land of the living will mean a change of dynamic for the show.
However, although the teaser image blatantly suggests that Kit Harington’s character is alive, Wired does not dismiss the fact that Jon Snow could only be coming back as a ghost.
The website also suggests that it could be worse: the teaser image may just be a cruel joke played by HBO on the show’s fans.
Whatever the truth may be, fans could only wait for answers until the show comes back next year.
“Game of Thrones” Season 6 is slated to air in April 2016 on HBO.
