While the speculations about Jon Snow being alive are still hovering in the heads of all the “Game of Thrones” lovers, a mysterious theory regarding another character from the series sprung up recently.

Giant Dothraki Warlord Khal Drogo, played by the ever handsome Jason Momoa, seems to be one of the most dominat characters in season one but unfortunately died a tragic death when his wife Daenerys Targaryen had to strangulate him forcefully.

Unlike Jon Snow’s case where his body was left unattended after being stabbed brutally in a mutiny in the last episode of season 5, there is no ambiguity about Drogo’s death who was clearly dead — with his burnt ashes and funeral rites.

Now, something that has stirring up the audience’s minds lately is that Jason Momoa was spotted riding a horse in his Dothraki costume with Daenerys, as per the pictures posted on The Daily Mail. These pictures, according to the site, were leaked from Spain while the GoT crew was shooting episodes for the upcoming sixth season.

Now, how could this be possible?

According to a theory suggested by a fan on the blog itsmegodece.com, there are several reasons why Drogo could be back. When Drogo had gone into a stagnant coma-like state, after getting cursed by the Maegi blood magician Mirri Maz Duur, Daenerys had asked her whether the Khal would ever return to his normal state. The witch replied, “When the sun rises in the west and sets in the east,When the seas go dry and mountains blow in the wind like leaves. When your womb quickens again, and you bear a living child. Then he will return, and not before.”

The sun rising in the west and setting in the east could possibly be symbolic to Quentyn Martell, a character who has not been introduced in the TV series as of yet. He was born in the west, belongs to House Martell whose sigil is a Sunspear, and dies in the east according to the book “A Song of Ice and Fire”.

The next line of the prophecy probably relates to Gregor Clegane, who is nicknamed “The Mountain”, and is blown away like leaves after getting injured by Oberyn Martell’s spear. As far as Daenerys’s child is concerned, it could be either possible as a result of her physical realtions with Daario Naharis or Hidzahr Zo Loraq.

Perhaps, the shot featuring Momoa could be probably a flashback scene too as the 36-year-old actor himself hinted about his return in an interview reported by The Daily Beast.

“I talk to David and Dan all the time and we always talk about possibly coming back and how we miss each other, but I’m not sure if it’ll fit into the world, But there can always be flashback sequences. You’ll just have to keep watching.”
