‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 Ian McShane Hates Role? ‘I’ll Die at the End’

Game of Thrones

Does Ian McShane hate his role in “Game of Thrones” season 6? This could be a likely conclusion since he’s given away the plot at every opportunity.

As early as August 2015, actor Ian McShane dropped hints about his character in “Game of Thrones” season 6. At the time, he revealed his character was an ex-warrior who had turned into a peacenik. He gave away more hints in November. In an interview, McShane said his character would resurrect a dead character.

In a recent interview with The Telegraph, the actor did it again. He told the publication about why he agreed to do “Game of Thrones”.

Initially, he said, “Sure, I’ll be able to see my old pals Charlie Dance and Stephen Dillane”.

Unfortunately, the show killed off their characters. The 73-year-old actor hesitated. However, when told he would only do one episode, McShane said yes.

“So that means I must die at the end of it. Great, I’m in,” he shared as yet another plot spoiler, the Telegraph noted.

In the same interview, the actor tagged “Game of Thrones” as a show of “tits and dragons”. This was after accusations he had already given away the plot.

Fans are eager to find out more about season 6. HBO released a trailer for GoT earlier. Within 20 hours of its release, the preview earned 12 million hits worldwide.

In a recent exhibit at the South By Southwest (SXSW) festival, HBO aired a clip for GoT’s upcoming season. The network held the viewing behind closed doors, the Business Insider reported. Recording of the video clip was not allowed, the website added.

In the preview, Melisandre spoke “I saw him in the flames, fighting at Winterfell” as an image of Jon Snow flashed on the screen.

HBO has yet to release the latest trailer officially, the website noted.
