It’s official! “Game of Thrones” co-stars Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie, who played lovers Jon Snow and Ygritte in the HBO fantasy series, are now officially a couple. The actors who played lovers in the TV series adapted from George R.R. Martin’s books attended the red carpet at the Olivier Awards together on Sunday.
Inquisitor reports that Harington and Leslie were seen kissing on the red carpet of the prestigious Olivier Awards ceremony. Harrington sported his Jon Snow curly locks and beard and appeared dapper in a tuxedo. His partner, Scottish actress Rose Leslie, wore a beautiful Malene Oddershede Bach gold gown.
The couple has been spotted together before many times but there were no confirmations as to the nature of their relationship. TMZ reported back in August of 2012 that the couple was dating. The website revealed photos of the two in a restaurant having a cozy chat. TMZ had also said that the couple was seen holding hands and even kissing each other. They split a year later but remained friends until they rekindled their relationship again this year.
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight in January, “Game of Thrones” co-star Emilia Clarke confirmed this getting back together. “My goodness! You know, we like to spread the love on our show. It’s a beautiful thing,” the “Terminator: Genisys” actress told ET’s Nancy O’Dell on Sunday’s Screen Actors Guild Awards red carpet. “She’s one of my best friends, so it’s good,” said Clarke, adding, “I mean, there are worse things than being caught kissing Jon Snow!”
Leslie had left “Game of Thrones” after the fourth season while Harrington was killed in season 5 where he was murdered by members of the Night’s Watch. The Jon Snow actor also confirmed on The Jonathan Ross Show on Saturday that his character is dead and he only shot scenes as a corpse for season 6.
