We’re almost halfway through Game of Thrones Season 6. With episode five, titled The Door, viewers are to be treated to the unfolding of major plotlines,

The brief synopsis for The Door reads, “Tyrion seeks a strange ally. Bran learns a great deal. Brienne goes on a mission. Arya is given a chance to prove herself.” This, in itself, already speaks a lot about what’s to come

There’s a new Red Priestess in town

In the official preview for The Door, a new character is introduced. She is believed to be Kinvara, played by Ania Bukstein. She has the exact same fashion sense as Melisandre—with the same magical necklace—indicating that she’s also a red priestess. There’s also reason to believe that she may be the “strange ally” Tyrion will meet.

According to The Independent, the leaked Kinvara script suggests that Tyrion asks her to convince the Meereenese that he is the city’s “liberator.”

The addition of a new red priestess leads viewers to the search for “Prince That Was Promised.” It is well established that Melisandre now believes Jon Snow to be Azor Ahai reborn. Kinvara, however, is likely to have her bets on Daenerys.

Daenerys’ return flight to Meereen

First on Daenerys’ agenda following her liberation is to return to Meereen with a horde of Dothrakis. Having the Dothraki by her side only strengthens Daenerys campaign and impending arrival in Westeros in Game of Thrones Season 6.

Red Wedding Part 2?

There won’t be a wedding, but the gory, brutal events of the Red Wedding might be replicated in the upcoming Game of Thrones Season 6 episode. Time reports that a theory supposes that the secret the High Sparrow told King Tommen is that Ser Loras had confessed that the Tyrells orchestrated Joffrey’s murder. Naturally, this would awaken the Cersei’s wrath and activate her knack for dramatic killings.

In episode 5, Cersei’s trial is expected to take place with the High Sparrow, members of the Faith Militant and possibly the Tyrells in attendance. Unaware of Cersei’s plans, they will wait for her to arrive in the Sept of Baelor to begin trial. Instead, Cersei takes out everyone in one big swoop with the help of The Mountain and/or Qyburn.

Bran comes face to face with the Night’s King

In the preview, Bran Stark meets the Night’s King in one of his visions. However, unlike his other visions where he appears completely invisible to others, the Night’s King appears to have detected Bran and seems to have taken hold of him.

This unfortunate incident could lead the Night’s King and his army of White Walkers to Bran’s tree. In an Inside Game of Thrones clip, the actor who plays Night’s King is seen filming in what appears to be the very same tree that Bran is taking refuge in.
