“Frozen” has been one of the most successful animated films that soared high on the big screens in 2013. One of the reasons for its success is its anthem, “Let It Go,” which became a hit not just for kids, but for adults as well. However, it has been rumoured that the sequel, “Frozen 2” might not deliver the same excitement because it will use the same song and that that movie might not have a duet between Queen Elsa and Princess Anna.
Kristen Bell, who plays the lovely Princess Anna had an opportunity to talk about the upcoming sequel during her interview with E! Online. Aside from the expectation that the animated movie will be musical, she hinted that there will be no duet between her and Idina Menzel, who voices Queen Elsa.
As for the anthem, Bell explained that she does not know if any of the new songs will top the celebrated hit. “Nothing should top that. Even when I hear it, hearing it as many times, as I have, every time I hear it, it gives me the tingles,” she said.
“I think there’s going to be a lot of great songs in the next movie but I don’t know if any of them will top “Let It Go,” she added.
More than the songs listed on the film, she revealed that the production team had finished the script for “Frozen 2”. “I think we start recording next month,” the actress claimed.
That being said, many sites are also speculating what could viewers expect on the highly-anticipated sequel. According to previous reports, the plot may cover many things like homosexuality, Anna’s hidden powers and Olaf’s love interest.
Previously, director Chris Buck told MTV News about the possible plot. “Jen [Lee] and I are just getting back into the story room together and throwing ideas around,” he said. “We have an overall idea, a concept, which I think is a very strong one. I’m very excited about doing it.”
The release date for “Frozen 2” will be announced soon.
