Channing Tatum is joining the “Frozen” fever and is playing Queen Elsa, but not on the sequel of the famous Disney movie.
Channing will impersonate the ice queen and will sing his own rendition of Idina Menzel’s “Let It Go” as he is set to battle against wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum in the upcoming season two premiere of “Lip Sync Battle.”
In a new trailer released for the season two premiere, the “Magic Mike” star was seen dressed in the shimmery blue dress of Elsa. He also wore a long, braided white wig to match the Elsa’s look at the popular 2014 Disney animated film.
The father-of-one was seen dancing in cloud of fake snow as he embodied the princess for one of his songs in the hour-long season premiere, the Daily Mail reported.
“This is a once in a lifetime match up. We are breaking all the rules,” host LL Cool J said in the trailer of the Tatum versus Tatum episode.
“I just really hope our marriage isn’t over after tonight,” Channing joked in the trailer, before Jenna added: “We’re a house divided at the moment. We’re going to war.”
The 35-year-old actor is also set to perform “Run the World (Girls)” by Beyonce.
The “Hateful Eight” star was seen sporting a revealing black ensemble, embellished with gold metallic trim and feathers. He also wore a wavy, blonde wig as he personifies Beyonce while the crowd goes wild over a surprise guest appearance of Queen Bey herself.
Tatum remained tight-lipped about Beyonce’s cameo on Spike TV’s smash competition series, but confessed that battling with your spouse is not a good idea.
“Don’t get into competitions with your other. It’s just not a good idea. I had an added complication that I was going against my wife. So I’m just happy that were still married and were still together and were still talking so that’s good,” Channing told Entertainment Tonight.
According to ET, “Lip Sync Battle” season two will also feature appearances by other famous celebrities including Christina Aguilera, Snoop Dogg, Olivia Munn, Shaquille O’Neal, and Gigi Hadid.
Jenna and Channing Tatum’s episode of “Lip Sync Battle” will air on Jan. 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Spike.
