‘Frozen’ 2 Casts Alden Richards As Disney Prince?

Alden Richards

Is Alden Richards charming enough to become a prince? After Maine Mendoza (a.k.a. Yaya Dub) brought life to “Frozen’s” Queen Elsa, will fans see Alden as her prince?

Well, we bet every AlDub fan is hoping that he would become one. Manila Bulletin Online reported that Alden was also asked by Walt Disney to represent a Disney prince. However, his character was not revealed.

The site wrote,

“When ‘Eat Bulaga’ learned in October 2015 that Mendoza will be portraying ‘Frozen’s’ Queen Elsa, it was also around that time when the management knew that Richards was also asked to represent a Disney prince.”

Thus, the site speculated if Alden Richards will play the role of either “Frozen’s” Kristoff or Prince Hans.

Earlier this week, the official Facebook account of Disney Channel Asia uploaded the behind the scenes of Maine as Queen Elsa. The famous “Kalye Serye” star revealed details on her experience.

Maine said,

“The shoot was so much fun because it’s my first time to do this and it’s very new to me. I love it. I love Elsa.”

Likewise, she asked fans to watch for the upcoming 2016 Disney calendar.

But if Alden would play either of the two roles mentioned above, it looks like he wouldn’t become Maine’s Disney prince. “Frozen” fans know that Kristoff and Prince Hans were both linked to Princess Anna.

Maybe he’ll be paired with Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach instead? After winning the Miss Universe 2015 pageant, an artist sketched the Filipina-German beauty as a Disney princess. The “Disney-fied” Pia Wurtzbach can be mistaken as a character in “Frozen.”

Meanwhile, in today’s episode on “Kalye Serye,” Yaya Dub joined a local pageant contest. Unfortunately, Yaya did not win the crown. However, fans thought of the Miss Universe gaffe when Filipino actor Wally Bayola went up the stage as a host who seemed to copy Steve Harvey.

But unlike what happened in the Miss Universe pageant, there was no mistake in the announcement. Yaya Dub was really the pageant’s First Runner-up. Nonetheless, Alden Richards told her that she would always be his Miss Universe.

If Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach pays a visit to “Kalye Serye,” do you think AlDub fans will witness another pageant?
