“Frozen 2” lead actress Kristen Bell allegedly quits as she struggles with depression. What will happen to the movie?
Calm down, folks, the rumor isn’t true. “Frozen 2” will still invade the cinemas. The fact is, Bell just recently confessed that she suffered from depression about 15 years ago.
In a letter she wrote for Motto, the actress stated that she was depressed while in college but she chose not to tell everybody until now. Later on, she thanked her mother for not leaving her side during the darkest days.
Why now? Bell believes that opening about the struggle is not a “taboo” anymore unlike in the older times. She detailed her feelings while she was at New York University and how she overcame the mental difficulty.
“If there ever comes a time where you feel like a dark cloud is following you, you can get help. You can talk to me, talk to a therapist, talk to a doctor. I want you to know that there are options,” Bell wrote, quotes Yibada.
She also said that depression is not sadness but it is a “pure sense of isolation and loneliness.” Anyone who suffers from the situation needs a sincere hug from someone.
Menzel addressed the issue which started from one Twitter user who created the hashtag “#GiveElsaAGirlfriend.” “Disney’s just gotta contend with that,” she said. “I’ll let them figure that out.”
On the other hand, Religious right activists are furious about the idea. A conservative group called Citizen Go are frightened about the possibility, hence a petition.
