Day 5 of the French Open 2016 was a good day for the biggest names of the tennis world.

From Serena Williams to 2008 Roland Garros champion Ana Ivanovic, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, all triumphed against their matches on Day 5.

Novak Djokovic vs Steve Darcis

Serbian Djokovic beat Belgian Steve Darcis in three straight sets with 7–5, 6–3, 6–4. He has also joined other big names in the tennis world to get 50 wins at all four majors in the Open Era. For a time, Djokovic seemed to lose it when he missed a Darcis drop shot.

The Serbian showed frustration at his mistake, The Guardian notes, and went on to win his second one with a frown. In the end, he won the match and was happy he was able to get it in three straight sets.

Serena Williams vs Teliana Pereira

In just two sets, World No 1 Serena Williams easily beat Teliana Pereira. The quick match ended with a 6-2, 6-1. The match lasted for only an hour and 8 minutes.

Ana Ivanovic wins against Kurumi Nara with a 7-5, 6-1. However, it seems her alleged wedding was more interesting to the media instead of asking questions regarding her win. At the post-game conference, Ana was asked about her civil status but after two deflecting responses from Ana, the moderator moved in to cut off the personal question.

Bernard Tomic vs Borna Coric

Bernard Tomic tasted defeat at the hands of Borna Coric. Coric won against Tomic 3-6, 6-2, 7-6, 7-6. Before the win, Coric and Tomic meted it out with a fourth set tie-break.
