Rosberg will not go without posing a challenge to Lewis Hamilton. Nico Rosberg insists that he is ready to take the battle in the 2015 Title with Hamilton.

“I am not Backing down”, said Rosberg as he gears for the upcoming race.

“We have five races to go and, although the championship gap to Lewis is quite big, in my mind it’s definitely not over yet,” Rosberg said, according to ESPN sources. “The way the whole team has performed this year – from the factories to the garage – has been just incredible and I have the car I need to get back to the top step.”

Sources further notes that Rosberg is 48 points behind his Mercedes teammate with five races still remaining. Even if Rosberg finishes first in the remainder of his races, Hamilton could well qualify for the top rank at all the remaining rounds. Though chances are very slim for Rosberg, he is still confident ahead of his clash.

This weekend’s Russian Grand prix could throw some type problems on the laid tracks, reported the MalayOnline. Rosberg is confident that he will receive positives from Suzuka in the upcoming races as he finished fourth at the last round in Japan. Starting on Pole position, he lost to Hamilton as he lost the lead to the ace racer in the first two corners.

ESPN quotes Rosberg as saying, “Once I got back from Japan, I was able to focus on the positive elements from my weekend in Suzuka: pole position, the on-track pass on Bottas and then having the speed to undercut Vettel’s Ferrari at the second pit-stop. I’m not backing down in my fight for the championship and gaining those positions back fair and square showed that.”

Mercedes executive director Paddy Lowe expressed concerns about team’s tyres on the hybrid semi-street circuit built in the Olympic Park created for the 2014 Winter Games.
