Jackie O Apology: Will Kieran Foran Accept Apology and Reverse Legal Action?

Kieran Foran

Jackie O of KIIS FM has said sorry for talking about an ugly rumour which was about Paramatta Eels captain Kieran Foran and his newborn baby. Will Foran accept the apology and stop the lawsuit?

It remains to be seen if Foran will ask his legal team, McGirr Lawyers, to not proceed with the lawsuit against KIIS FM and radio host Jackie O. Jackie’s comments questioning the paternity of Foran’s baby had incurred his wrath and the Paramatta Eels captain threatened legal action if they did not receive an apology.

Jackie O did as she was asked and said sorry while revealing that her comment was badly timed and really stupid. “It was stupid to say what I said and it was really insensitive, especially considering what Kieran is going through at this time in his life,” said the radio host on her show with Kyle Sandilands.

“Despite what some people might think it’s not what I’m about in radio. I am very sorry for any harm that I’ve caused,” Jackie added. According to Fox Sports, Kyle Sandilands was with her when she rendered the apology. “I’ve got no idea what this is all about, but it sounds quite legally involved,” he said. “It looks like you’re in the s**t and better you than me because this is usually something that I am asked to do,” he added.

Yahoo News states that Foran’s lawyers got into action after Jackie’s statements. They sent a letter to KIIS FM demanding a retraction and an on-air apology from the host on Friday morning’s breakfast show.

“Statements were made by Jackie O suggesting our client’s child was not his. This statement gave imputations that the former partner of our client committed adultery during their relationship,” the letter said. “That imputation is defamatory, completely false, untrue and lacking any merit. We are instructed to request that you submit a clear apology and retraction to Mr. Kieran Foran and Ms. Rebecca Pope,” it added.

Last week, she spoke about Kieran Foran on air, informs Daily Mail. During a chat with former NRL star Braith Anasta, the host mentioned Foran’s baby. “The paper’s saying that the baby is not his, is that right?” she asked.

“Oh wow, I don’t know, we’re going somewhere I’ve got no idea,” replied Anasta.

Foran and Pope separated three weeks after the birth of their new baby. Even though Foran has already checked into rehab, his lawyers’ statements very well indicate his anger.
