American record producer and DJ Khaled Mohamed Khaled, popularly known as DJ Khaled, will join singer and songwriter Beyoncé on her “Formation” world tour. The music producer announced the news via Instagram with a video.

“Today I proudly announce a major milestone in my career. Today’s announcement is a major accomplishment in my life. In other words it’s a major achievement alert!!!! I am proud to announce that I, DJ Khaled will be on tour with the icon, Beyoncé!!!!! Fan luv, when I tell you that prayer is the so powerful, please believe me. I want to thank the incomparable icon Beyoncé for this tremendous opportunity of a lifetime. Your music is the soundtrack to so many people’s lives across the globe. Your legacy is a blueprint for the young generation to follow and strive to be. You are the true definition of a superstar,” Khaled wrote on his Instagram profile.

He continued with “Thank you so much for inviting me on your stage. I promise you this! I’m gonna rip it down so legendary!!!!!! When I was a kid THEY told me no when I wanted to DJ and perform in the club! So guess what, I did!!! OPEN FOR BEYONCÉ!!!!!! Fan luv we did it! We made on the stage with the Queen. Get ready to feel passion pain success and tears of joy in a STADIUM NEAR YOU!!!!! Miami, see you soon!!! I’ll be on stage with Beyoncé on April 27th and then I’ll be on the road to more success. Thank you again Beyoncé for making this dream come true for me. I will never stop fan luv. Bless up!!”

Khaled went on to announce that he will release an album of his own soon. As per Consequences of Sound, Khaled’s next album is called “Major Key” which will be released by Epic Records.

According to Jezebel, DJ Khaled also spliced himself into Beyoncé’s official tour announcement with the same long caption and posted it on Instagram first. It has since been taken down.

DJ Khaled began as a radio host. In 2006, he released his debut album entitled “Listennn … the Album” which reached number 12 on the Billboard 200. His next album, “We the Best,” became number 8 on the US Billboard 200. He went on to release more albums including “We Global” and “Kiss the Ring.” He is the founder and CEO of We the Best Music Group.

As for Beyoncé, her next project before her tour begins is the mysterious documentary-style special one-hour event called “Lemonade.” According to USA Today, the special will be similar to the 2013 HBO documentary special “Life Is But a Dream.” Entertainment Weekly has learned from a source that “Lemonade” is “a lengthy concept video.”

The “Formation” tour begins on 27 April in Miami, Florida and ends on 25 May in Toronto, Canada. Tickets can be purchased on the Ticketmaster website.
