The Floyd Mayweather Manny Pacquiao ‘fight of the century’ may be so last year, but that doesn’t mean the battle between the two is over. In light of both parties’ recent Instagram posts, it seems there’s still ongoing drama between the two. This raises the question on whether a 2017 rematch is possible.

A report from News Talk details that Mayweather showed off a check for $100 million on his Instagram account. The caption is long, but a highlight if it emphasizes the boxer’s retirement. The post is vague to place a name on who Mayweather is addressing.

Nevertheless, it’s safe to say it’s a general statement towards those slamming him regarding his retirement. The caption of the photo goes as follows.

“This is just one of my many checks, a cool $100,000,000.00 that I still have every dime of. Y’all still have to work however, I’m happily retired. At the end of the day, it’s them Benjamin Franklins that matter to me, so the jokes on you. I’ve made smart investments, sorry for those who thought that I couldn’t read, write, or count.”

Floyd Mayweather Manny Pacquiao feud or coincidence?

Meanwhile, though Mayweather’s post doesn’t target anyone in particular, Manny Pacquiao posted a photo of his own that seemingly throws shade at his previous opponent.

The photo shows the Philippine senator hugging an elderly. He then captioned it with Luke 16:19-31.

Although Manny Pacquiao can post whatever he wants on his account, the timing of the post is still coincidental. Did he purposely shade Mayweather? Only he knows.
