After the crossover episode full of action, The Flash season 3 still has to face a more major issue. It seems that the Flashpoint is not their only problem now.

The midseason finale is nearing, and it will involve a big change that Team Flash hasn’t faced before. In a report by Game N Guide, Flashpoint wouldn’t be the real deal in their present lives today but the new problem will be even bigger than the Dominators, Dr. Alchemy and Savitar.

The show’s executive producer Andrew Kreisberg teased about the major threat, and it seems that it will test Team Flash’s capabilities. “The midseason finale kind of creates a new problem for our heroes that they weren’t anticipating,” Kreisberg said.

However, Kreisberg didn’t reveal much details to keep the fans excited. Meanwhile, iDigital Times reports that Barry must have messed up the Flashpoint timeline. In the previous episode, it was revealed that Barry messaged Oliver about the consequences of Flashpoint.

Barry explained that the new timeline did not only affect the past, but could also affect the future. However, it seems that the future might also affect Barry and Iris’ relationship. The previous episode shows a newspaper, which is exactly the same as Eobard Thawne’s time but with a different author.

The author change gave an indication that Barry and Iris might not end up together. However, aside from the romance, it will give further complications in the story. It seems that the new author will be the major threat for Team Flash.

In the message of Barry to Oliver, he said not to trust anyone even The Flash. Everything seems unclear for the fans now but everything will be answered as the show moves forward.
