New danger is coming in The Flash Season 3.
TheCW released a new teaser poster for The Flash Season 3 and it hinted a new world for Barry Allen (Grant Gustin). Aside from new danger, the Scarlet Speeder’s fans could also expect “new destinies” this season.
The new poster showed a lot, really lot, of red. We all know that red is The Flash color but this could mean something else too. Yes it could mean danger, but it could also mean anger or more of Barry’s loved ones are going to die. In the previous season, Zoom (Tony Todd) killed Barry’s father Henry Allen (John Wesley Shipp).
The red in the poster could also signify love. Barry might find new romance in Season 3 or probably a past love will return. Shantel VanSanten, who played Patty Spivot, teased that she might come back this season. Keiynan Lonsdale will also have Wally West’s alter ego, Kid Flash, this season.

The Flash Season 2 finale showed Barry going back in time and changing the past. He saved his mother from being killed the Reverse-Flash (Matt Letscher). Barry’s decision however triggered the existence of an alternate timeline for him and the people in Central City. For one, Barry and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) will no longer friends. All of these lead to the show’s Flashpoint storyline.
CW earlier released the official synopsis for Episode 1, titled Flashpoint. ScreenRant shared the synopsis that reads:
“WHAT WOULD YOU SACRIFICE TO HAVE EVERYTHING YOU’VE EVER WANTED? — Barry (Grant Gustin) is living his dream life – his parents are alive, he’s asked Iris West (Candice Patton) on a date and he can finally be a normal guy as Central City has another speedster, Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale), running around saving the city. When Barry starts forgetting parts of his old life, the Reverse Flash (guest star Matt Letscher) taunts his nemesis and tells him that there will be serious repercussions for Barry and the ones he loves if he continues to live in this alternate universe. In addition to losing his memories, his powers will also start to fade. When disaster strikes, Barry must decide if he wants to continue to live in this world as Barry Allen or return to his universe as The Flash.”
Meanwhile, the Scarlet Speedster is also set to face multiple villains this season. Among the villains this season are: Dr. Alchemy (Eric McCormack), The Top, and the Mirror Master. Harry Potter star Tom Felton has been cast as villain as well. He will be playing a character named Julian Dorn.
Candice Patton (Iris West), Danielle Panabaker (Caitlin Snow), Tom Cavanagh (Dr. Harrison Wells) and Jesse L. Martin (Detective Joe West) are all reprising their respective roles.
