The third installment of “The Flash” will not hit the small screen until the end of the year. But can fansfind out now which new characters will drop by Central City next season?
According to Yibada, at least two new characters will make their debut when “The Flash” returns on CW. However, these characters will just be played by actors fans have already seen on the show before. Or rather, Jesse and Wally’s super powers might soon emerge when Season 3 rolls out.
Wally has had a momentous season last year. He was captured by Zoom. Barry Allen went all out to save him at the cost of his own super powers. He had even helped by trying to repair the Flash. But, Yibada claims, the most momentous is yet to come for Wally. His super alter-ego, Kid Flash, might soon emerge in Central City when the series returns for a third season.
Wally was last time hit by the particle accelerator that could turn humans into speedsters. So, this rumor is entirely plausible. But Wally was not the only character who was hit. Jesse was, too. Would she turn into Jesse Quick next season? Stay tuned for updates.
Meanwhile, TV writer Michael Ausiello said one old, new character will come in next season. What he meant by this is that fans might soon see an older version of Barry Allen when the show returns. “The CW hit is casting the major recurring character of Barry’s slightly older, slightly geekier contemporary,” Ausiello told TV Line.
The TV journalist also hinted what this rumored character would be up to if he shows up next season. “This newcomer doesn’t buy Barry’s nice guy routine,” he said. “And [he] sets out to learn what he’s hiding — all while concealing some secrets of his own.”
The third season of “The Flash” will return to CW this coming fall.
