Gamers, expect to hear official news about “Final Fantasy XV” soon as reports say Square Enix will be unveiling the video game at Gamescom.
Europe’s biggest annual trade fair fro video games will be the stage for the developers to reveal more information about the much awaited installment to the “Final Fantasy” franchise. According to Gamespot, Square Enix has confirmed that they will be presenting the game and may even allow guests at the fair to have their first hand-on experience of the game at their booth.
This year’s Gamescom will be held from August 5 to 9 at Cologne, Germany. The Japanese video game developer will have a 1,100-square meter booth at the event, with over 200 game stations where fair attendees “can play some of the company’s upcoming games,” Gamespot noted.
Many “Final Fantasy” fans and gamers have been expecting Square Enix to announce updates about the video game last June at Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). However, fans were disappointed to hear only updates about the “Final Fantasy 7” remake, Movie Pilot explained.
The site also added that developers are taking note of fans’ requests and feedbacks to make
“Final Fantasy 15” one that gamers will definitely enjoy.
“Especially based on how the past couple of Final Fantasy entries haven’t been regarded the most positive by fans of the games,” Movie Plot added.
The “Final Fantasy XV” release date may also be announced at Gamescom. Square Enix will also offer fans “a number of exciting stage presentations” for the fantasy role-playing game, Gamespot noted. Expect a trailer and gameplay video at the fair too.
Aside from “Final Fantasy 15”, Gamescom will also feature other upcoming games, including “Final Fantasy Type-0 HD” for PC and “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain”.
“Final Fantasy XV” is expected to be released on next generation consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
