News about the highly anticipated “Fifty Shades Darker” have been making rounds online. Meanwhile, the last movie in the erotic trilogy, “Fifty Shades Freed,” is starting to make headlines as well. Actress Arielle Kebbel will be joining the cast for a new role.
The model, who is credited for appearing in different TV series like “UnREAL,” Ballers,”The Grinder” and “The League,” will be playing as Gia Matteo, a beautiful architect who Christian Grey hires to build his home.
Kebbel’s presence as Matteo in the third film will be sort of a threat to Anastasia Steele. For that, Ana gives her the nickname “Miss-Provocative-And-Unfortunately-Good-At-Her-Job,” as noted by The Hollywood Reporter.
“House Of Cards” director James Foley will be directing both the sequel and the third film. Meanwhile, E.L. James’ husband Niall Leonard will be responsible for the script. The movies will be produced by the Universal studios with the help of Michael De Luca, Marcus Viscidi, Dana Brunetti and the author herself, E.L. James.
As for the “Fifty Shades Darker” casts, Kim Basinger and Bella Heathcote have been chosen to portray the roles of Elena Lincoln and Leila Williams, respectively. So far, the only mystery left regarding the “Fifty Shades” character is the one who will play Jack Hyde.
Meanwhile, the films’ main protagonists Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson returns for the sequel. The production team had started to film the erotic motion picture in Vancouver, British Columbia. The author confirmed the news by posting a photo Vancouver’s skyline on Instagram.
The sequel has been plagued with delayed filming rumours like a feud between the lead stars, Dornan family issues and Johnson leaving the film for good. However, the good news is that the film is still slated to be released on its original date which will be on February 10, 2017.
