‘Fifty Shades Darker’ Release Date Delayed? Jamie Dornan Replaced?

FIfty Shades Darker

“Fifty Shades Darker” has been surrounded by delay rumours ever since the announcement for the sequel was announced. Several reasons were brought, such as Jamie Dornan’s personal problems and difficulty to find the right actors but the latest scoop went on to something like he will be replaced for the role of Christian Grey.

According to Inquistr, the culprit for the delay is the “lackluster chemistry” between Dornan and his co-star, Dakota Johnson. What does it mean?

Fashion N Style noted that the producers and the rest of “Fifty Shades Darker” production team were frustrated that the main stars were not able to reach the “right level of intensity” of romance that the movie requires. It has been stated that the protagonists had an “awkward” kissing scene that made director James Foley allegedly disappointed.

Ecumenical News added that many are beginning to doubt if the film will be released on its original slate in February given that the rumours could definitely cause a delay. The website also guessed that it was Dornan’s new baby that makes him out of focus while filming.

However, the actor said that there is no problem about their chemistry at all. “They wouldn’t have shot the film with us if there was a lackluster chemistry problem… whatever chemistry means,” Dornan shared. “You have to jump through a lot of hoops to get a part like this, and they simply wouldn’t have cast us,” Dornan added.

Meanwhile, newcomer Bella Heathcote, who was selected to play as Leila Williams also told People that chemistry among the “Fifty Shades Darker” actors was never really a problem while filming “Fifty Shades Darker.”

“I was worried because it’s coming into something that’s already established like feeling like the new kid at school,” she stated. “But everyone was really lovely and really welcoming and hilarious. It’s a really good vibe on set, which I didn’t expect,” Heathcote continued.
