The much-awaited sequel to the “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie is reported to have no progress in its movie casting.
The “Fifty Shades Darker” movie is set for release on February 10, 2017. As Sam Taylor-Johnson left after “Fifty Shades of Grey,” James Foley will be directing the second installment of the trilogy.
However, reports claim that the production is not progressing as they have not yet found a casting director.
“Fifty Shades of Grey” Producer Dana Brunetti told News Everyday, “We’re nowhere near casting. We haven’t gotten into anything like that. We don’t even have a casting director on it yet.”
The site mentions that production of the movie is targeted to start early next year. However, with no casting director, some roles have not been filled up yet.
The casting director will be in charge of selecting actors and actresses to fill up the new characters in the movie.
News Everyday notes that the characters of Jack Hyde, Elena Lincoln or Mrs. Robinson, and Leila Williams should be in the movie cast “if the movies continue to follow the plot of E.L. James’ books.”
With no confirmation of who will play such roles, speculations have flooded the Internet.
Actors such as Ian Somerhalder, Cara Delevingne, Theo James, Henry Cavill, Charlize Theron and Alexis Bledel are reportedly rumored “to be linked to these roles,” the site mentions. Among the group, Cavill made it clear that he was not involved in the movie production.
With a new director and new people on the production, fans are expecting things to spice up in the second movie.
Fans have been reported to be disappointed with “Fifty Shades of Grey” due to the movie’s “lack of sexual intimacy in the film and reports,” Parent Herald reports.
Speculations on whether actor Jamie Dornan (who plays Christian Grey) will do a full-frontal act is one of the biggest questions in the fan base.
Although no reports have confirmed of such act in the movie, it was reported that Dornan was offered $1.5 million to “appear fully nude” in the movie sequel.
Do you think Dornan accepted the offer? Stay tuned for more updates on “Fifty Shades Darker.”
