Fifth Harmony Normani Kordei Going Solo? ‘Tired of Being Outshined by Camila Cabello’

Fifth Harmony

Fifth Harmony has been around the music industry for almost 4 years, but the quintet may be gone to a quartet now that Normani Kordei is said to be going solo.

Ally Brooke, Lauren Jauregui, Dinah Jane, Camilla Cabello and Kordei have been successful when “Reflection” was launched. However, Youth Health Magazine notes that it is only Camila Cabello who shines the most.

Cabello became the center of the controversy with her shortlived relationship with Austin Mahone. She was also being linked to the likes of One Direction member Niall Horan and the “Stiches” singer Shawn Mendes.

The brunette beauty also worked with the latter for the song “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” which became an instant hit. And apparently, she was in the headlines again for hanging out with Taylor Swift.

For that, there is a buzz that Kordei is “tired of being outshined by the Latina singer.”

The young X-Factor alum released her rendition of Tory Lanez’s “Say It” on Wednesday and has been available for listening on YouTube. As a result, celebrity blogger Perez Hilton wrote that Kordei is “the real powerhouse of 5H.”

According to Hilton, this could probably be her “Beyonce” moment. Will she be going solo? Kordei is yet to answer that question.

Apart from Cabello and Kordei, Lauren Jauregui was also rumored to be making her way to be a solo artist.

A previous report revealed that there is a video clip of Jauregui doing a cover of Lady Gaga’s “Speechless” and “Paparazzi” which has been making rounds on the Internet. Although the clip was filmed before her 5H career, the footage seems to be causing the fans to think that the group might end up parting ways in the near future.

The separation may not happen anytime soon because Fifth Harmony is currently working on their sophomore album.

“We’re working on our second album right now. We are in the last few days recording,” Cabello told Latina Mag. “You’re going to be hearing new music very soon, and that’s that.”
