Fifth Harmony Camila Cabello on ‘7/27’ Songs: Sounds Like ‘Worth It’

It has been confirmed that Fifth Harmony’s sophomore album, 7/27, will be out on May 20. After releasing the first single, “Work From Home,” Harmonizers are craving for more information regarding the other songs, to which Camila Cabello allegedly commented that the tracks sound more like “Worth It.”

The Latina brunette, along with other members Dinah Jane, Lauren Jauregui, Normani Kordei and Ally Brooke had a Twitter Q&A between fans on March 4. Cabello explained the style they did on “Reflection,” especially with the songs “Worth It” and “Bo$” will be incorporated on the much-awaited album.

“I feel like sonically, we kind of found our thing to stick to,” Cabello shared as quoted by Just Jared. “I feel like in ‘Reflection’ we explored with that 808 and kind of like urban beat as a backbone, like the one you hear in ‘Bo$$’ and ‘Worth It’ and now ‘Work From Home.’

Inspired by the upbeat tone of their songs, she explained that they went out of the box while keeping the same vibe on other songs. “I feel like that kind of represented us as a group really well,” she added.

Kordei added, “I think that honestly, it’s just a fun body of work that people will leave listening to hopefully feeling confident and more, like, closer to us.” “Work From Home” was released on Feb. 26 but the song is already climbing its way up to the Billboard Hot 100 by debuting at No. 12.

Fifth Harmony performed the song during a special after-Oscars “Live With Kelly & Michael” recently at the Dolby theater in Los Angeles. The music video is also out for viewing.

The new album 7/27 proves that the all-girl quintet is not heading for a breakup, contrary to the earlier rumors that Cabello and Kordei are stepping out of the group for going solo. However, Kordei explained on Cliche Magazine that they have individual plans in the future, but they have to make sure that Fifth Harmony will be a successful pop group.
