New “Fast and Furious” update reveal that the eighth movie installment of the franchise could be cancelled. Read on to find out the possible shocking reason.
Some issues in the production of the film have been coming up, Celeb Cafe reported. According to the site, film production co-president, Jeffrey Kirschenbaum, has left the team. Additionally, “FF7” director James Wan also bid his goodbye to focus on New Line Cinema’s “The Conjuring” sequel.
“Insiders confirm that the $200 million, two-year production of ‘Furious 7’ was so demanding that it actually compromised Wan’s health,”the site noted.
As a result, “XXX” star and one of “Fast and Furious” main actor, Vin Diesel, might take Wan’s place in helming the film. However, rumor has it that the actor is allegedly “hard to work with.”
Diesel’s camp has since denied the speculations, saying that it was a “complete non-sense.”
The actor also made a statement through his official Facebook account:
“Universal has been so good to me and so trusting of the vision… they have been like family… I promised the studio I would deliver one last Trilogy to end the saga,” he wrote.
“I will announce the directors on my next post…” he added.
Though reports about the “Fast and Furious 8” cancellation might not be true, it sounds like they are having some behind the scenes issues. But have nothing to worry, because the action- adventure film will begin filming in New York City this summer.
In a previous ANN article, actress Michelle Rodriguez revealed that they were just “rounding up the troops.” She also said that the upcoming film would be a tribute to their late co-star, Paul Walker.
Stay tuned for more updates about the upcoming film. “Fast and Furious 8” premieres on Apr. 14, 2017.
