‘Fast and Furious 8’ Filming in Europe; New Cast Additions Revealed!

Fans are definitely excited to see what heart-pumping action “Fast and Furious 8” will deliver.  According to latest reports, the highly anticipated eighth installment will most likely satisfy audiences with the same action they loved in the past movies.

Initial updates about the upcoming flick have already teased that a few scenes will take place in Cuba.  Hall of Fame magazine revealed that apart from the South American country, cast and crew are also setting their tents in some countries in Europe.

The site mentioned that “Fast and Furious 8” producers are reportedly “assembling Lamborghinis and tanks in Iceland.”  Filming will also take place in Russia and in the U.S. specifically in New York and Atlanta.

Cuban publication, Yusnaby Post has already released some set photos and a video showing a flaming car chase along the streets of Havana.  On the other hand, images of the reported filming in Iceland have yet to to be leaked online.

Meanwhile, fans are also excited to see new faces in the upcoming movie.  As several sites have already teased, “Fast and Furious 8” will introduce new characters and will see the return of the franchise’s mainstays.

According to Deadline, Clint Eastwood’s son, Scott, will be the latest addition to the cast as Mr. Nobody’s (Kurt Russell) protege. Scott will be joined by “The Huntsman: Winter’s War” star Charlize Theron, who has been confirmed to play the villain in the new movie.

Vin Diesel (Dom), Dwayne Johnson (Hobbs), Michelle Rodriguez (Letty ‘Ortiz’ Toretto), Tyrese Gibson (Roman Pearce) and Ludacris (Tej Parker) are returning.  On the other hand, newcomers Kurt Russell (Mr. Nobody) and Jason Statham (Deckard Shaw) from “Furious 7” will also reprise their roles.

“Fast and Furious 8” is slated to hit the big screens on April 14, 2017.  The upcoming movie will be the first in the new “Fast and Furious” trilogy.
