The production work for the upcoming action packed sequel of the Fast & Furious franchise seems to be in full fledged as the releasing date of “Fast and Furious 8” is approaching fast. In the process, the filming team will be in constant need of nerdy and intellectual extras to join the cast.
After Cuba, filming works will move to Iceland, Atlanta, and Cleveland. And a few rumors are also making rounds that production might take place in Russia and New York City.
The website of UPROXX reveals that the casting director for the “Fast and Furious 8” movie is in the hunt for an Atlanta-based nerd. Therefore, those “great nerdy and intellectual types” with good looks should get ready with their best photos and update their personal information sheets to play Cargo Jet Techs.
Furthermore, the producers seem to be very specific about the casting for such role. As indicated in Project Casting, they are only in need of men and women of any ethnicity who are good-looking, nerdy and scholarly types between the ages of 18-40. Those qualify for the role must then be available on all the dates specified without exceptions.
In the meantime, a second unit production in Cleveland is also seeking for locals who wish to appear as background extras for action scenes that will start filming in June. europa says recently a casting call specified that the producers are on the lookout for a look-alike to act as a double for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in addition to tall and tough looking guys.
Here’s the casting call in full, via Project Casting:
