“Fast and Furious 8” received a major upgrade with the addition of Dame Helen Mirren to its stellar cast.

The veteran award-winning actress confirmed her appearance in the 8th installment of the popular franchise in a recent interview with Elle magazine. Mirren had only one condition to join “Fast and Furious 8.”

“I’ll be in it, but only if I’m allowed to drive if I do drive in it,” she told the publication although her request is still at a ‘wait and see’ status. Nevertheless, Mirren is excited about joining the franchise and here are five reasons why she would be perfect in it.

1. She loves Vin Diesel.
The Dame revealed her ambition to be part of the “Fast and Furious” in 2015. She also had good words to say about one of the franchise’s key stars.

“I have to say Vin Diesel is brilliant. I love Vin Diesel. He’s a great guy, smart — I love him. It’s partly because of him I’d like to be in one, but also the driving,” Mirren told Yahoo! Movies then.

2. She loves to drive.
Mirren pointed out her mad driving skills as proven by her stint on “Top Gear.” She also enjoys stunt driving, Autoblog revealed.

“I always love stunt driving. I do as much driving on my movies as I can. If there’s driving stuff to be done, I always beg or insist on doing it myself,” Mirren said.

3. She loves a fun movie.
Well known for dramatic roles, Mirren looks forward to being in a fun movie like “Fast and Furious 8,” the New Zealand Herald wrote.

4. She’s no stranger to action movies.
The 70-year old actress certainly proved her mettle in the action genre with her appearances in “Red” and “Red 2,” The Car Connection remarked. Hence, Mirren’s presence along with Charlize Theron could certainly “class up” the franchise, the publication noted.

5. She might play an ex-CIA agent named Magdalena in “Fast and Furious 8,” the “Fast 8” Wikipedia page revealed. The unconfirmed report suggested Helen Mirren joins Hobbs (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) to defeat Cipher (Charlize Theron.)
