Leicester City will host Tottenham Hotspur in the third round of their FA Cup Campaign at the King Power Stadium on Wednesday, Jan. 20, starting 7:45 PM GMT.
The 24-year-old Matty James is expected to comeback in Leicester City squad after being on the sidelines for eight months with a cruciate knee ligament injury.
As per the BBC reports, Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri is expected to make some changes for Wednesday. Ranieri is impressed with James at the practice sessions and will feature him in the squad.
“For me Matty is very important,” Ranieri said. “I watched a lot of matches from last season and he played very well with Esteban Cambiasso in the middle.
“He is young, he is strong, with a good personality, good skill, good vision. This is another very good player for me who can help the squad.”
As per the Sports Mole, “Ben Chilwell, Marcin Wasilewski, Ritchie De Laet, Andy King, Leonardo Ulloa and Damarai Gray are all likely to come into contention.”
The Spur’s leading goalscorer, Kane, is likely to be asked to rest. Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is also expected to rotate his squad. “We have players in a condition where it’s a big risk to play,” he said.
“Always we assess the players and maybe we take a decision to rest some players.”
“It is a good challenge as they play with a different team in the FA Cup, 10 players different from in the Premier League. We have a good chance to go to the next round and the FA Cup is important for us.”
Leicester City possible starting lineup: Schmeichel; De Laet, Wasilewski, Benalouane, Chilwell; Inler, Kante, King, Dyer, Gray; Ulloa
