Liverpool take on the West Ham United at the Boleyn Ground in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Tuesday, Feb. 9, starting 7:45 PM GMT.
The Reds seek to book a place in the fifth round of the FA Cup as they look forward to beating the Hammers at Upton Park. The two teams will meet for the fourth time this season.
As per the BBC reports, Jurgen Klopp wasn’t present during Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Sunderland after suffering appendicitis. He was quoted as saying, “Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp: “I feel good and I am back in the race.”
“I figured if I feel bad I should stay at home but I feel good and I am thankful for our doctor, because he said we should go to hospital – I was not too sure. The surgeon was great, a season ticket holder who told me we both didn’t want to see the game.”
“I had the best nurses and everything was OK. I feel really good so that is the only reason why I am here. If I’m not fit then I cannot help here and I would be at home.”
Philippe Coutinho, Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge are expected to return after their respective injuries.
As per the This is Anfield reports, Carl Jenkinson will miss the fourth round match against Liverpool. Even Cheikou Kouyate, Manuel Lanzini and Diafra Sakho have been ruled out for the upcoming clash. West Ham defender James Tomkins remains uncertain with a calf injury.
West Ham manager Slaven Bilic, ”We’ve played Liverpool many times this season, twice recently with different line-ups.
“We played their strongest team and then a team with five or six regular starters, so we are well prepared for whatever team they come with.”
The winners of this match will meet Blackburn on Sunday, Feb. 21.
