Antonio Conte has said that Germany is the strongest team of them all. They’re the world champions after all. However, Germany has yet to win over Italy in any major tournament. Joachim Low has learned his lesson in this tournament and that is, Italy can be beaten. And they were, by the Republic of Ireland.
” I think we’re well prepared. It’s about a balance in between defence and attack – you must create chances, but you must take them because against Italy you may not have as many as against Northern Ireland,” Low said of their strategy to Euro2016.
Antonio Conte and his men are a force to be dealt with in the field. “It’s going to be more difficult to breathe and we know this is a difficult test. But trying doesn’t cost anything. We didn’t get this far by chance,” Conte told Euro2016.com.
“We’ve tried to identify areas where we can hurt Germany. We have a great deal of respect for them, but we’ll try to play our hand and play to our strengths,” he further revealed of their strategy to remain in the game.
Italy will be facing Germany with a suspended Thiago Motta and injured Daniele de Rossi and Antonio Candreva.
