Nine months after getting back together, American Horror Story co-stars Emma Roberts and Evan Peters are officially off again. This is the second time that the couple called it quits.

Roberts, 25, and Peters, 29, first started dating in spring 2012 when they met on the set of their movie Adult World.

“Everyone thought we dated on the movie and we didn’t, not for a long time,” Roberts recounts, Us Magazine quotes. “I actually, on the set, was like, ‘Oh yeah, we’re totally gonna date.’ And I would try to, like, flirt with him, which ended up looking like I had something in my eye because I’d be like, ‘Hey, what’s up?’ And he literally didn’t speak to me the entire movie. He thought I was so weird.”

The couple got engaged in Christmas 2013 but called things off in June the year after. They reunited two months later.

Happy Valentines Day ❤️🌴

Emma Roberts and Evan Peters’ romance is not one without controversy. In 2013, Roberts was arrested for domestic violence after police found Peters with a bloody nose and reported a bite mark after the two got into a fight.

According to the Daily Mail, a source said the couple’s “romance is pretty extreme” and that they behave in a way “that’s very passionate.”

Peters comforted Roberts after the incident and declined to press charges against her then-girlfriend.

Although the reason for the split remains uncertain, a source reveals that Roberts and Peters separated amicably, similar with their first break up. The couple’s split in 2015 was amicable and that “there was no drama whatsoever.”
