The highly anticipated Eminem new album could come with a diss track aimed at Drake.
The rap god has yet to release the Eminem new album, much less hint at its status. Recent news likely worried fans as talks of its cancellation loomed. Then again, hope springs eternal as the possibility of collaborations with upcoming artists look promising. However, would the revelation of Hot 97’s Ebro be cause for alarm or something to be anticipated?
In a recent talk with Drake, Ebro revealed news of the alleged diss track that Eminem prepared for him. The Views From the 6 rapper simply laughed off the information. Moreover, Drake assured it would not happen. Although, if it were true, Drake revealed he had something for the eminent rapper as well.
“I told Drake that I heard the rumor was Eminem was going to gear up to come after him. He laughed. He was like, ‘That’s not gonna happen.’ He’s like, ‘He’d never do that. And if he did, I got something for him, too,’” Ebro recounted his talk with Drake.
Could the supposed feud between Eminem and Drake stem from the latter’s recent lyrical altercation with Joe Budden? The Canadian rapper and the Slaughterhouse member exchanged subliminal disses via their respective songs. Budden is an artist under Eminem’s Shady Records. His diss track Just Because supposedly aimed at Drake seemed to allude to his label’s boss. The lyrics of this particular song would reveal the efforts of Eminem to curb his attacks on the Canadian rapper.
According to HipHop DX, Eminem worked with Drake on Forever in 2007. However, perhaps due to the long absence of an Eminem new album, the Canadian rapper overtook the rap god with the success of Views From the 6. Then again, should a lyrical feud erupt between the two, fans seem certain the rap god would rule.
