Reports of trouble in the world of Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi have been doing the rounds for quite a while now. Apparently, all isn’t well in paradise and the two may have also started living separately.
According to a report on KpopStarz, citing Life & Style magazine, a source has revealed details about the trouble brewing in their marriage. Reportedly, Portia resides in their Malibu home, while Ellen lives at the Beverly Hills condo.
It appears that Portia has undergone IVF treatments and even suggested adoption to her partner. But, as reported, Ellen may not be ready to take the step.
The source shared with Life & Style, “Ellen said she’s realized she doesn’t want to be a mom. It was utterly devastating news for Portia. She really hasn’t recovered from it.”
As reported by Celeb Dirty Laundry, Portia’s last round of IVF treatments wasn’t successful. According to Life & Style, Ellen believed that the couple should just move on from trying again. This, apparently, wasn’t taken well by her partner.
The source said, “Their relationship is falling apart. They have some massive issues to work out.”
“Ellen can be very selfish, she wants things to go her way.”
Married in August 2008, reports of trouble in their marriage have been surfacing quite often in the last few years. As it turns out, they are also undergoing couple’s therapy.
According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, “Ellen told her (Portia) she couldn’t keep trying to get pregnant, and she apparently breaks down in tears whenever she sees a baby when she is out and about.”
However, earlier this year Ellen went on record to refute all rumors about their marriage being in trouble. On Today Show, Ellen told host Matt Lauer, “There doesn’t even need to be a thick skin, ’cause it’s not real. I’m just more flabbergasted by the fact that someone needs to make up a story. There’s never been a point where we were breaking up or divorcing or fighting. None of these stories are even remotely true.”
It remains to be seen how the couple decides to deal with the baby-issues on hand.
