Drake covered Toronto with his “Views from the 6” ads in time for the 2016 NBA All-Star Game this weekend.
Several billboards for his upcoming album is now flooding the city of Canada as the Toronto Raptors Global Ambassador prepares for the All-Star Games.
According to Billboard, Drake will serve as head coach for Team Canada against Kevin Hart for the team USA.
Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport shared photos of the “Views from the 6” ads within the terminals.
Soon after, the singer posted a much bigger billboard at the center of Toronto, which simply read “Views.”
This is not the first marketing stunts Drake dropped ahead of the release of his highly anticipated album.
Earlier this month, the musician said on his Beats 1 show “OVO Sound Radio” that “Views From The 6” would drop in April, Billboard noted. It was earlier reported that the exact date that “Views from the 6” will be released is on April 16, 2016, a date that mirrors 416, Toronto area code.
Last month, the track list of “Views From The 6” leaked online, while the “Jumpman” rapper shared several photos on his Instagram account displaying him and his colleagues working in a studio. Also last month, Rihanna dropped her new single, “Work,” which featured her longtime friend, ex-lover, and collaborator Drake.
Meanwhile, HollywoodLife reported that the “Hotline Bling” rapper has been telling his friends that he would love to have some private moments with Amber Rose and Blac Chyna at the NBA All-Star weekend party.
“He wants first dibs on all the hotties entering so he can put his stamp on them, and he specifically has his eyes on Amber and Blac,” a source close to Drake told HollywoodLife.com.
“He’s telling his friends how bomb it would be to kick it privately with these two media mavens. High key, Drake’s a fan of both of them. They’re both confident with a bad attitude. They party like they’re dying tomorrow. And most importantly, they have banging bodies with ba-dunk-a-dunk that he’d love to grab and hold onto!” the source added.
