Drake has unveiled OVO x Air Jordan – his “Views from the 6”-inspired Air Jordan sneaker. The kicks are in celebration of the success of Drake’s latest album, which so far broke several music records.
The rapper teased the new pair of OVO x Air Jordan Lows on his Instagram last night. Drake captioned the kicks as the “Hot 100s.” However, the Canadian artist deleted the images soon after it was posted. Although the post has been removed, it was captured by several fans already.
The OVO x Air Jordan sneakers feature an all-white colorway with red detailing of the Jumpman logo on the tongue and on the outsole. Drake’s “Views” labelling can be seen at the lace lock and on the outsole.
This is not the first time Drizzy collaborated with Jordan. Since Drake teamed with the NBA superstar in 2013, he has released the Air Jordan 10 OVO-edition sneakers in September 2015. He then followed up with the all-black Air Jordan 10 silhouette that was released in February. Drake was then seen sporting his next collaboration – the OVO 6IX YEAR 8s – which has not been released to the public.
GQ also noted that Drake’s white-and-black versions of his stingray-embellished Jordan 10s are currently going for $600+ at Flight Club.
Meanwhile, there is no official word yet if OVO x Air Jordan will be released or when it will be available in retail stores.
Drizzy officially released his album “Views from the 6” last April 29. But before that, he already dropped the full tracklist of the album.
He also dethroned Adele for the most played single in a week in the United Kingdom after his track “One Dance” climbed to more than 7 million plays in seven days. “One Dance” also grabbed the number one spot on the Canadian Billboard Hot 100.
