Kanye West has hinted that he and Drake are joining forces for a Drake Kanye West album.

Yeezy made a surprise appearance at Drake’s recent OVO Fest in Toronto, where he dropped some hints on what is about to happen. “Toronto, I got one question for you … Are you all ready for this album? I’m not talking about Pablo. I’m not talking about Views. I want to ask y’all, y’all ready for this album?” West asked the crowd.  He then pointed to Drake, who came out on stage for a moment before West performed Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1.

This is not the first time West teased about a possible collaboration with the Canadian singer.

In February, West thanked Drake in a series of tweets for helping him on The Life of Pablo. In one tweet, he hinted a collaboration is about to happen soon. Drake, on the other hand, also dropped hints that he and West were close to releasing a mixtape after their team up on Pop Style fell through, NME reported in April.

The two artists released their latest album this year. West’s The Life of Pablo was dropped in February. Drake began dominating the charts when his Views From the 6 was released in April.

Since no official confirmation has been made with regards to West’s remarks, we might as well list down some of the things that we could expect from the Drake Kanye West album.

Will there be another diss song for Taylor Swift?

Probably. West is currently in feud with Taylor Swift after he dropped Famous, which has lyrics that say: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/Why? I made that bitch famous.” Swift has claimed that West did not seek her approval about the song.

The question here is: will Drake allow disrespect for another artist in his album?

Will the Drake Kanye West album finally end the Apple Music and Tidal rivalry?

West has been releasing his tracks exclusively via Jay Z’s Tidal, while Drake has a partnership with Apple Music. It seems Kim Kardashian’s husband is already pulling some strings to resolve the competition between the two major streaming services. Should he fail to succeed, the question is, where will the album be released? Via Apple Music or Tidal?

Finally, the album may be all about the two rapper’s views of society.

West had voiced his opinion on several issues through his music. Complex noted this is something Drake has yet to explore. Yeezy has made songs about his faith, his family, his success and his suffering from racists. Although he doesn’t always do this in the most modest manner, Drizzy will probably want to pick up some ideas from West.
