Avid Dragon Ball Super fans must be sad about the latest news. The show might be put on hold because of its low visual quality.

TOEI animation released the Japanese anime series in July 2015. It is currently on Future Trunks arc with Black Goku as villain.

However, Dragon Ball saga creator Akira Toriyama complained about the drawings. Gojitaaf was able to quote him in one of his interviews.

“Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live-action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I’m complaining about the quality of the new TV anime.” Later on, the 61-year old animator admitted that he is still very much into his creation.

Meanwhile, Attack of the Fanboy also reported that fans noticed the deterioration of its quality. The website pointed out Goku’s animation on episode 5.

Notably, the said episode features the fight between Goku and Beerus. According to the outlet, the frames are “worse than a kid’s drawing.”

The episode gave birth to a lot on Internet memes that hold the title “bad animation Goku.” On the other hand, they noted that it must be due to the animators work condition.

The company must have been forcing the artists to produce a lot of frames in a short span of time. But anime producer Norihiro Hayashida defended the side of TOEI.

He told Anime News Network that the criticism is overwhelming. However, he admitted that there are lot of newbies in the industry and the time is limited.

Well, Dragon Ball Super viewers shall see if TOEI will do their best to improve the quality of the series. But will they cancel the show? The producers are yet to confirm the news.

In other news, here are the possible scenarios in episode 53. Aside from Black, a new character sets foot on the show. Meet Zamasu, who might have a connection to the Supreme Kai.

According to a previous report, he might help Goku in killing Black. There are still few details about him online so viewers may have to find it out on the later episodes.
