‘Doom’ on Xbox One Lets Players Get ‘Doom’ Classic Versions for Free! Details Here

Gamers who are fond of the classic DOOM games are in for a treat if they pre-order DOOM 2016 for their Xbox One.

According to IGN, the 1993 FPS horror game DOOM as well as its 1994 sequel DOOM II can be redeemed in the purchaser’s Xbox Message Center in just 7 to 10 days. These titles are developed to be compatible with the console which makes these digital editions an added bonus for Doom fans both new and old.

In addition to the two nostalgic classics, the pre-order will also include the Demon Multiplayer Pack. The bundle features six Hack Modules, six metallic paint colours, a demon armour set available in three different skins and three ID patterns which players can use to customize their armours and weapons.

In the single player campaign, players get to play as a space marine mostly referred to as the “Doomguy” who encounters supernatural forces of undead and demon monsters. In a report made by Geek, gamers will be able to complete the single player mission in just 13 hours but may vary depending on the skill of the user.

Many weapons and monsters popular in the series will be returning in this 2016 installment. Some weapons like BFG 9000 and Super Shotgun will be accessible to the player in order to combat recurring demons such as the Cyberdemon, Mancubus and the Revenant. The game is known for its “push forward combat” which focuses on sheer survival and weapon ammo management rather than encouraging resting to regenerate health. The reboot also features an “execute” mechanic where players will attempt to finish off a monster once it took considerable damage.

The most recent addition to the space horror series was originally named “Doom 4” but was later simplified and stylized as “DOOM.” It is developed by Bethesda Softworks as a reboot to the franchise and is the first of the many planned installments to be released in the coming years.

The first person shooter is expected to be launched this May 13.
