Ubisoft has detailed out its plans for “The Division” post launch and it includes three paid expansions as well as free updates.
As noted by VG247, Ubisoft shared, “The development team is working on a complete post-launch plan to keep the experience fresh for the months to come, including several free updates, new features and functionality.”
“The free updates to be released for all players will add new game modes such as challenging group-oriented operations to test players’ abilities in co-op mode and win unique rewards.”
Coming back to the three paid-for expansions, these are a part of the title’s DLC pass and read out to be: Underground, Survival, and Last Stand, as reported by GameSpot. Some details for each expansion have been provided by Ubisoft:
Expansion 1: Underground
- This first major expansion opens up a new area to players as they explore the uncharted underworld of New York City with up to four friends for intense co-op action
Expansion 2: Survival
- In this expansion, players will have to survive as long as possible in a very hostile environment that will challenge even the most talented agents.
Expansion 3: Last Stand
- There are no details for this one yet. So, stay tuned.
While these will be launched “over the course of the year,” no time-frame has been provided for now. Ardent gamers should be on a look out for more information as we inch closer to the launch of “The Division” in early March this year.
Gamers getting their hands on “The Division’s” DLC pass will also be receiving “exclusive” sawed-off shotgun, new outfits and weapon skins as well as “special monthly benefits including exclusive content drops and special events.” Sooner or later, ardent gamers will hear about the pricing on the DLC pass as well.
The title’s closed multiplayer beta kicked-off today on PS4 and PC, while it landed for Xbox One players yesterday. Keep checking back for more updates on “The Division” in the coming weeks.
