If it were up to South Korean actor Song Joong-Ki, he would never disclose his lovelife to the public, confirming that he values his privacy despite his massive stardom.

In an interview with the May 2016 issue of Harper’s Bazaar Korea, the “Descendants of the Sun” actor has confessed that he is a “countrified, slightly prim and ordinary man” who is not as used to fame as he looks, Yibada reported.

“I have no plans to go public if I get into a relationship,” he said. “I will do my best to preserve the emotion for the person that I like but I also want to keep it secret for that person.”

He also said that he wants to reach out to more of his fans, which is why he is currently studying English, Niponggo and Mandarin as the popularity of “Descendants of the Sun” has reached other countries in Asia including Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore and the Philippines. At one fan meeting in Beijing, he delighted his Chinese fans after he sung the local song “It’s Been A Long Time” fluently.

According to Asia Times, both the Instagram and Facebook pages of Harper’s Bazaar Korea has been flooded with pictures and videos of Song Joong-Ki.

Harper’s Bazaar Korea, on its Facebook page, posted about their experience doing the shoot with Song.

“For the photoshoot, we had a strategy like that of his Alpha team (Captain Yoo’s special forces team on Descendants of the Sun) to avoid paparazzi and his fans. Song Joong-ki was extremely professional and displayed utmost leadership. We enjoyed working with him.”

Song Joong-Ki has long been rumored to be in a relationship with co-star Song Hye Kyo, which makes fans excited for a possible sequel season for “Descendants of the Sun.”
