Will the Merc With The Mouth get a new ally in his next film? Will he really work with Spider-Man in the upcoming “Deadpool 2” movie?

According to Superhero Hype, a Deadpool – Spiderman crossover might be in the works. Or at least, the creative team behind “Deadpool” is open to it.

“I would love to see it,” producer Simon Kinberg said during the “Deadpool” Blu-ray release. “Both of us are close with [Marvel’s] Kevin [Feige],” he added while referring to “Deadpool” director Tim Miller. “We respect and love Kevin. If it were even remotely possible, we will find a way ’cause we’d love to see it.” Miller seems to agree, saying, “Simon and I have been trying to build bridges.”

Young British actor Tom Holland has been getting rave reviews for his performance as the new Spider-Man. Will “Deadpool 2” really see him and Deadpool working together? No word as of yet to confirm this. Kinberg did “officially” clarify that he just does not “know if it would be possible” right now. Can they still change their minds? Stay tuned for more updates.

Meanwhile, an “X-Men” and “Avengers” crossover might also be in the works soon. Kinberg, who also produced “X-Men: Apocalypse,” confirmed they are at least not averse to the idea of a crossover. “I think there’s so much crossover in the comic…[that] it would be neat to see those characters one day share a movie,” Kinberg told Crave Online. Miller, for his part, thinks a crossover is not a bad idea at all. “I would love to, someday, in part, heal the rift between the world of X-Men and the world of Avengers,” the “Deadpool” director added. However, they both clarified that they have not officially worked on a crossover between the two iconic Marvel superhero teams as of yet.
